Tank & Garage

AllyFab not contacted me yet re tank. I think I'll chase in the morning.

No progress on car, but have managed to tidy the garage up. So should be a bit easier to wok on when tank does tip up.

Hood - Finished

Finished both doors, added additional turnbuckles on hood at front.
Chased AllyFab on Friday, Tank should be with me in next 7-10 days.

Weekend

No progress this weekend. Farted about with moving furniture and upgrading sons PC with new Hard drive. Also visited family on Sat, but did drop off old fuel tank to AllyFab on way down, so awaiting contact with expected eta.

Doors

Fitted one of the doors tonight. Original retaining strap was crap so re-used the ones from my old doors. Need some more 4/5mm bolts to complete.

Hood

Turnbuckles arrived from Woolies. Fitted two corner turnbuckles at front end of hood last night.
Ready to start fitting doors. May start tonight.

Hood

Hood Frames Fitted. Finished all pressstuds and need to order a few turnbuckles to secure the corners.
Once turnbuckles fitted will sort out doors.
Need to contact Allyfab today to arrange tank fabrication.

Been working late this last week and tonight had to clear up corrupted computer so no chance to progress.

Worked over weekend, but managed to prime hood frame and brackets. Should top coat this week and final fit.

Sourced matching nylon strap from my good mate Rich for the hood frame. Should be bringing in tomorrow.

Spent most of today making up brakets for hood frame.
Frame now fits. Awaiting to get new new nylon strap for frame before painting

First Entry

Started Blog in Jan 2005.
Car has been off road since October whilst I arrange to change petrol tank, fit new shocks and springs and fit new Hood, Also a good underseal underneath.
Car should be back on road for Spring with new tank from Allyfab, hopefully converted to internal fuel pumps.
